(Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

The artist builds his/her identity by the constant search of the personal, estetic and social dimension through art.

How can art jewelry create identity?

How can history, life and culture be represented in a piece of art?

What relationship is there between the personal (and the artist’s own) identity and the collective identity?

How is all that reflected in the subject that acquieres the piece of jewelry and wears it? Could one make the statement that identity is the addition of identities throughout the design, production and distribution/dissemination chain?

Is identity continuation or innovation?

Does identity trascend the material? In which form?

We will try to solve all these questions with each and every Tamagit artist by interviewing them and following their trajectory.
